About the Program

The Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) supports government-assisted refugees during their initial period of settlement in Canada. Through this program, newcomers receive essential short-term assistance, including help with immediate settlement needs such as housing, income support orientation, accessing health care, and connecting to community services. RAP provides foundational support to help individuals and families establish stability, understand local systems, and begin their settlement journey with confidence and dignity.
