At Westman Immigrant Services (WIS), we help newcomers access English classes. We make referrals to English classes where the goal is to improve English skills for education, work, life in Canada, and Canadian Citizenship.

Before beginning English classes, newcomers complete a Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Assessment (CLBPA). Listening, speaking, reading and writing are assessed. The assessment ensures placement in the appropriate class level to support effective learning, goal achievement, and progress in language development.
