Westman Immigrant Services (WIS) staff recently volunteered for Fuel Good Day at Heritage Co-op, where 10 cents from every liter of fuel sold was donated to local food banks. We were thrilled to be part of this wonderful community initiative, helping raise funds for organizations like Samaritan House in Brandon and other rural Manitoba food banks. WIS is proud to support this wonderful initiative that gives back to the community. It was a great opportunity for our team to connect with local residents and contribute to an event that strengthens the community through charitable efforts. This year’s participation was another meaningful step in supporting those in need in the Westman region!

Last week, WIS and some of its newcomer community enjoyed a fantastic day at the Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg! Our Family and Youth trip was filled with excitement, exploration, and the opportunity to learn about wildlife from around the world. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to MANSO for providing the tickets that made this adventure possible.
